2017 Hurricane Season is here — We’re ready!

2017 is shaping to be a very active hurricane season with already one named storm, Arlene, occurring before June 1st.

The National Hurricane Center is forecasting:

• Eleven to 17 named storms – including April’s Tropical Storm Arlene.

• Five to 9 of which would become hurricanes.

• Two to 4 of which would become major hurricanes.

On average, a typical hurricane season produces about 12 named storms in the Atlantic Basin, 6 hurricanes and 3 hurricanes that are Category 3 or stronger.

What does this mean for ColoHouse and our clients?

Well, nothing really.

All year, we prepare for disaster to happen at anytime (very Dooms Day of us, we know). Our technicians and operations team are constantly checking equipment, completing any and all maintenance for our power and cooling systems, and so much more. Not to mention that our building is structurally designed for Category 5 Hurricane Survivability, located outside the FEMA 500-year designated flood zone and the Miami-Dade hurricane evacuation zone.

In a nutshell, it will be business as usual.
